Every piece in our collection is a quiet act of intention. We believe that a home filled with thoughtfully made objects carries a different kind of warmth — one rooted in the hands that shaped it, the land that gave its materials, and the traditions that guided its making.

Materials & Sourcing

We source with care, choosing materials that leave the lightest footprint.

• Recycled textile waste forms the foundation of pieces like our Cottage Basket — patch-worked from fabric offcuts that would otherwise be discarded, each one limited in number and unrepeatable in pattern.
• Pure cotton is our canvas of choice: breathable, biodegradable, and honest.
• Natural dyes drawn from plants and minerals give our textiles their colour — no synthetic chemicals, no harsh effluents.
• Soy wax in our candles burns cleaner and longer than paraffin, with a lower environmental impact from crop to flame.

Artisan Partnerships

We work with master craftspeople in Jaipur, where block printing has been practiced for centuries. Each block is hand-carved, each print hand-pressed — a rhythm that cannot be rushed or replicated by machine.

Our partnership is not transactional. We return to the same artisans season after season, ensuring fair, consistent work and keeping traditional craft techniques alive in a world that increasingly forgets them.

Limited & Intentional

We make in small runs deliberately. Limited pieces mean less waste, more attention to each item, and a product that holds its value — in your home and in the world.

When something is made to last, it doesn't need to be replaced.

Our Promise

We are a small brand, and we will not over claim. What we can promise is this: every sourcing and production decision at Michri is made with the question — does this cause unnecessary harm? When the answer is no, we proceed. When it is yes, we find another way.
